About #PBPowerHour
In 2022, Jamie Rodarte founded #PBPowerHour, a monthly virtual session where picture book creators gather for 60 minutes of fast-paced writing exercises.
The initial planning committee included Rodarte’s critique partners Christine Rivera Creque, Judy Campbell-Smith, and Abby Mumford. The first #PBPowerHour was held on June 5, 2022. Tunisia Williams and Kamilla Milligan joined the team in 2023.
Rodarte announced June 2024 that she would be stepping down from the planning committee. The team now consists of Campbell-Smith, Milligan, Mumford, and Williams.
#PBPowerHour continues each month with a different host providing fresh exercises.
