Entrepreneur’s Wife Lesson 2

The support you offer your spouse as they embark upon this journey is extremely important. Many times you are the only one who believes in your spouse’s dream.

You are the one who sees the wins and the losses of their business endeavors. Witnessing the losses can be painful for both of you. But in those times it is important that you find the strength to push your spouse on.

Regardless of how you may feel, you must be the one to support your spouse through this. Pray and ask God for wisdom on what to say and how to say it. Then minister to your spouse’s spirit through God’s word. Remind your spouse of God’s promises.

As the wife of a restaurant owner, we have seen many good and bad days. I can recall the early days of the restaurant’s opening where there were only 1 or 2 customers coming in each day. It was frustrating for my husband who knew the bills would soon come due. It was during these times that I encouraged him and prayed for an increase in customers, as well as for the finances to come in.

I also reminded my husband that if God opened the door for him to start the business, He would provide the customers. And God did just that.

Continue to be the line of support for your spouse.
